Jared Padalecki “Doing Okay” After Car Accident

Jared Padalecki was involved in a hectic fender bender last week but is recovering well, according to his “Supernatural” co-star, Jensen Ackles.

Yesterday, Sunday 24 April, Ackles shared the news of Padalecki mishap during a fan convention dedicated to the cult dark fantasy TV series that ran from 2005 until 2020.

“[Jared] sends his love. I spoke with him yesterday. He’s sad he can’t be here. He was in a very bad car accident,” the 44-year-old actor told the audience at the event.

He then added: “He wasn’t driving. He was in the passenger seat, and he’s lucky to be alive. And not only that, but he’s at home recovering … the fact that he’s not even in the hospital right now is, like, blowing my mind, because I saw the car.”

Ackles mentioned that Padalecki had the airbag in the car to thank for saving his life, but compared the effects of its activation to “12 rounds with [former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson].”

Padalecki tweeted last Thursday, 21 April, that he wouldn’t be attending the convention, but after news of the accident hit the airwaves, there was an outpouring of support for his recovery.

“We love you, Jared. Glad you’re alright,” posted one fan.

Another said: “You are loved Jared.”
